CERAMIC INSTRUCTOR: Stacie Logue
Ms. Logue studied ceramics at Cal State University of Los Angeles where she received her bachelors Degree in Fine Art. Her advisor while studying at Cal State was Joe Soldate- known for his formula Soldate Clay. Her emphasis was in hand-building but she is also familiar with pit firing, raku and low firing. She is known for her whimsical figurative sculptures as well as for her painting on recycled materials.

Beginning Hand-Building Ceramics for Teens
5 Fridays May 29 - June 26, 2009 3:30am - 5:30pm Tuition: $125.00
5 week course: 5 sessions includes instruction on basic hand building techniques: pinch, coil & slab construction. Clay, glazes, tools & firing included in tuition fee. For students who want to get in touch with their creative self or interested in a new medium. Ages: 15 yrs - Adult. Class limited to 10 students. Reservations suggested because of class size.
Beginning Hand-Building Ceramics 1 & 2
5 Saturdays May 30 - June 27, 2009 10:00am - 1:00pm Tuition: $150.00

Hand-Building Ceramics 3
5 Saturdays May 30 - June 27, 2009 10:00am - 1:00pm
Tuition: $150.00 Lab Fee: $25.00
5 week course includes instruction on developing basic hand building techniques in creating vessels & sculpture. Students will create a series of 3-4 pieces with a theme or concept. Lab fee covers clay, glazes, tools & firing. For students who have taken Beginning Hand-Building 1 or have had experience with clay but want to reacquaint with the medium. Age: 15 yrs - Adult. Class limited to 10 students.
